Q3. Do I get a control panel, and what kind of features do I receive?

A. Yes, each account (domain) setup is provided with a control panel complete with graphical statistics, easy to setup email accounts, and much more. As for the features included you get mySQL, FTP, FrontPage and much more!

Q4. Once I pay for my order, how long does it take for my site to be up and running?

A. All our accounts are activated instantly. However, it may take up to 24 hours for the DNS settings of your domain to become active.

Q5. Hmm, this looks like a really good deal but do I need anything?

A. The only thing you need is the content to put into the website! After that you have your own website!

Q6. Do you support ASP?

A. Yes, we provide ASP for Perl module.

Q7. Are there any additional fees for creating or transferring domains for me?

PHP Safe Mode

PHP Safe Mode is enabled on our network and cannot be disabled due to security concerns.

Telnet/ Shell Access

We do not in any way provide any type of shell access. All items that shell access is needed for can be handled by modern ftp software and the control panel.

Q9. How do I transfer files (FTP) to my website?

A. Files can be transferred to the web server using an FTP program (File Transfer Protocol), such as FTP Surfer (www.ftpsurfer.com). Microsoft FrontPage users can publish their sites to our server by using the built in publish facility. You can download the freeware version of FTP Surfer from the Royal Host download centre.

Q10. Can people download software from my website?

A. Software downloads may only be hosted if it is smaller than 500kb and of web content and you are the writer and copyright owner, all other software including freeware, shareware and trial software is forbidden. The hosting, storage, downloading or distributing of mp3, mp4, wma, avi, mpeg or any form of audio or video files is strictly forbidden. The use of the network for gaming of any kind is not allowed under any circumstances.
